Angler’s Legacy A program of the Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation whose mission is to implement an informed, consensus-based national outreach strategy that will increase participation in recreational angling and boating and thereby increase public awareness and appreciation of the need to protect, conserve and restore this nation’s aquatic natural resources.

Aquatic Resources Education Association Nationwide non-profit organized for educational purposes. AREA members include representatives of State, Federal, industry, fisheries and educational professionals involved in aquatic resource education programs.

Casting 4 a Cure A tremendous group of folks that use fly fishing as a means of raising funding for research to help find a cure for Rett Syndrome, a neurological disorder that affects young children.

C.A.S.T. for Kids Foundation A public charity that was formed in 1991 to join volunteers who love to fish with disabled and disadvantaged children for a day of fishing in the outdoors.

Casting For Recovery Great organization founded on the principles that the natural world is a healing force and that cancer survivors deserve one weekend — free of charge and free of the stresses from medical treatment, home, or workplace — to experience something new and challenging while enjoying beautiful surroundings within an intimate, safe, and nurturing structure.

Children & Nature Network An organization created to encourage and support the people and organizations working nationally and internationally to reconnect children with nature. The network provides a critical link between researchers and individuals, educators and organizations dedicated to children’s health and well-being.

Discover Fly Fishing A program developed by the American Fly Fishing Trade Association to help people get started in fly fishing.

Family Lines Family Lines is a faith based non-profit committed to the restoration of the family beginning with fathers and their children. We work through partnership in the local community to offer a variety of interactive workshops and trips centered around fishing and designed to draw dads and kids together. Whether it’s a weekend rod-building class or a week long horse packing and fishing trip, we provide the opportunity to share, learn, build, and experience adventure, both side by side and in the company of other fathers and children.

Family Tyes Non-Profit Organization that uses a student’s interest in Fly Fishing to create strong family relationships and to help children become positive, productive adults. Family Tyes brings the family, school, community, industry, government, and volunteer mentors together to instill in students the qualities necessary for proper growth and development.

Federation of Fly Fishers Youth Education The FFF has been dedicated to helping kids become fly fishers for over 40 years.

Fishing Outfitters of Montana (FOAM) The program aims to introduce kids ages 11 through 16 to fly-fishing and several of the sciences associated with fishing, like icthyology (fish), macroinvertebrate biology (fish bugs) and limnology (rivers).

Future Fisherman Foundation The Physh Ed National Fishing and Boating Education Grants initiative enables public, private or charter schools to design and deliver high quality, standards-based fishing related programming as a part of their regular, daily curriculum.

Get Kids Fishing Foundation Great organization established to give children the education and support needed to experience the joy of fishing.

Joey’s Fly Fishing Foundation A Wonderful organization that was established in 2007 to reach out to youth and teach patience, confidence, respect and relationships through qualified, monitored mentoring and flyfishing!

Through mentorship and the successful mastery of the activities provided, these children will develop greater self-confidence, self-awareness, and self-discipline.

National Fishing in Schools Program Nationwide, in-school program that teaches the positive lifetime activity of fishing to students in grades 6-12.

New Mexico Trout New Mexico Trout is dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of trout fishing in New Mexico’s waters through restoration of riparian habitats and through the education of the public about trout fishing and the value of trout habitats. Like any sport, fly-fishing’s future depends on our youth to remain viable well into the future. New Mexico Trout is pleased to welcome and involve youth at all its activities, whether that young one is a family member, a friend, or a neighbor. We also thank those members who continue to introduce and teach flyfishing to youth.

Outdoor Alliance for Kids A national strategic partnership of organizations from diverse sectors with the common interest in expanding the number and quality of opportunities for children, youth and families to connect with the outdoors.

Reel Fun Fly Fishing A program designed to be part of the Physical Education Curriculum within schools.

S.A.R.E.P. Youth Fly Fishing Organization An educational program that provides children with information and experiences related to aquatic resources, conservation, ethics, and fly fishing. Fly fishing has a long history of integrating these elements into the core of the sport. The ethics of the program promotes “catch and release” as well as respect for fellow fisherman and the land on which one fishes. It is our goal to protect the species and the land for future generations. Our program closely ties together the importance of understanding nature with the rewarding act of fly fishing.

Trout Unlimited Headwaters Youth Education Initiative The goal of TU’s Headwaters Youth Education Initiative is to create a “stream of engagement” for youth, starting around age eight and extending into their college years. Kids can join at any time and will be provided a seamless set of activities and experiences to keep them not only actively engaged in nature and conservation, but also in touch with other young people who share their interests.

Wild Salmon Center The mission of the Wild Salmon Center is to identify, understand and protect the best wild salmon ecosystems of the Pacific Rim.
